Just west of the main street in the Te Anau township is the Fiordland Cinema. This luxurious little cinema, featuring plush armchairs and adjoining cocktail lounge, is a must-see for any visitor to Te Anau.
The cinema was purpose-built to screen Ata Whenua - a 32 minute film showcasing some of New Zealand’s most breathtaking scenery, as filmed by many of New Zealand’s leading cinematographers. There are several screenings daily.
