Catch your transfer from the Fiordland Jet office (a couple of minutes walk from Distinction Luxmore Hotel) to Queens Reach to experience a thrilling pure wilderness jet boat ride.
Travelling the waters of the Waiau River as far as the deserted shores of Lake Manapouri, experience a hidden world framed by solemn mountains and wild forest, steeped in natural beauty and rich in history
Enjoy all the innate fun a jet boat has to offer – speed & spins. Pause in otherworldly places, made famous by scenes in Lord of the Rings; spot Rainbow and Brown Trout in crystal-clear waters; even lose track of time listening to the rare bird life when your guide quiets the engine for a spell to let the current take over. Emerge onto Lake Manapouri – named NZ’s most beautiful lake – to experience a moment of true silence, a unique sense of solitude and a view that will never be forgotten. Disembark to explore the native bush beyond the beach as you learn about the local flora and fauna while breathing in the ancient beech forest.
Arrive back at Queens Reach and savour the beauty of Fiordland with a mountain bike* ride back along the Lake2Lake Cycle Trail. Bike at your own pace with plenty of time to enjoy a picnic lunch (additional charges apply for lunch) and the bird sanctuary.
